Jamaica H. Analysis

Jamaica Handicap (G1) / Belmont Park, 10.10.09 / Download Chart (PDF)

PROS

  • Take the Points has been consistently good in his four grass starts. With a Grade 1 win here and in the Secretariat, he is one of the best 3-year-old grass horses.

CONS

  • There is no Breeders’ Cup race for 3-year-olds on the grass. And this colt simply is not fast enough to take on the big boys.

BOTTOM LINE

  • Would have to be made eligible to run in the Breeders’ Cup. More likely to stay with 3-year-old in the November 29 Hollywood Derby.
