Frizette Stakes (G1) / Belmont Park, 10.10.09 / Download Chart (PDF)

PROS

  • Devil May Care showed nice acceleration to take the lead and good heart to hold it. Awesome Maria made a big late run at the winner.

CONS

  • Even though this race went .05 seconds faster than the Champagne, it was still not terribly fast.

BOTTOM LINE

  • Devil May Care’s trainer Todd Pletcher was not sure the filly will take to the synthetic so the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies is not certain. Stanley Hough said Awesome Maria is through for 2009.
