PROS

  • Presious Passion again showed his liking for a firm turf course. This was a superb piece of race riding by jockey Elvis Trujillo to ration out his speed. He pretty much marched along every eighth mile in twelve seconds.

CONS

  • This was an average field with some of the same old faces from this west coast turf division we have seen for the last three years. Presious Passion was never challenged on the lead and had everything his own way.

BOTTOM LINE

  • Despite being a multiple Grade 1 winner he will be a big price on Breeders’ Cup day. He will get more of a challenge upfront plus the euros will dominate this weak US division.
